GABS 2026 - The Summit for Global Thinkers
Dear GABS participant,
In six weeks, the German African Business Summit (GABS 2026) will kick off in Accra - and you will be part of it!
We look forward to welcoming you to Ghana. Over the course of two days, you will meet more than 500 participants from Germany and numerous African countries. The focus will be on concrete business opportunities, new partnerships, current market insights, and direct exchange with decision-makers from business, politics, and institutions.
To help you arrive well prepared and give you an early impression of what awaits you in Accra, we will accompany you with the weekly GABS 2026 Newsletter until the conference begins. Each issue brings together practical travel information, programme guidance, and selected highlights to look forward to. In this issue: travel planning, side events, educataGhana’26, and a special networking format with German ambassadors from across Africa.
Tip 1: Finalise Your Travel Planning Early
You will find all key information for your preparations in one place at www.gabs2026.com. In the “Travel” section, we have compiled discounted hotel allotments, flight offers from our partner Brussels Airlines, and information on visa application support. This will help you plan your trip to Accra with ease.
Tip 2: Make Targeted Use of the Side Events
In addition to the main programme, around 30 side events will focus on key future topics related to “Business with Africa” - from critical raw materials and artificial intelligence to pharmaceuticals, logistics, the circular economy, and many other relevant issues in African business. Register online now at https://www.gabs2026.com/side-events for the side events that are most relevant to your business, your contacts, and your interests.
Tip 3: Discover educataGhana ’26 as an Additional Format
If you would like to extend your stay in Accra, educataGhana’26 on Thursday, 26 November offers an ideal complement to GABS. The event will take place at the Mövenpick Hotel, just a few steps from the Kempinski conference hotel. Under the motto “Empowering Ghanaian Youth for Global Careers”, the focus will be on how German companies and well-educated, motivated young people from Ghana can benefit from one another. Participation is free of charge; further information is available at www.educataghana.com.
Program Highlight: Meet the Ambassadors
GABS 2026 offers all participants a special encounter: Around 20 German ambassadors from all over Africa will travel to Accra for the conference. During the event, you will have the opportunity to talk to them directly, receive first-hand market information and make new contacts. Use this format to broaden your perspective on African markets in a targeted manner.
The summit takes place on the 23-25 November, 2026 at Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra.
