GABS 2026 Updates
Dear GABS2026 Participant,
In our third newsletter, we provide information on: support from the Ghanaian Embassy in Germany with visa applications, high-level political representation from Germany at GABS, and our new GABS conference app. As a programme highlight, we also recommend a visit to the Startup Village.
Tip 1: Embassy of Ghana in Berlin provides visa support
Ghana’s Ambassador to Germany, H.E. Prof. Ohene Adjei, warmly invites all visitors from Germany to visit Ghana on the occasion of GABS 2026. The Embassy of Ghana in Berlin is happy to provide information about visas and assist with any other questions relating to preparing your visit to Ghana. Feel free to reach out to: Nana Quashie, Embassy of Ghana in Berlin, E-Mail: nana.quashie@mfa.gov.gh and berlin@mfa.gov.gh.
Tip 2: High-level Representation from the Federal Republic of Germany
In addition to German Federal President Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the Federal Government will also be represented at GABS 2026 at a high level across several ministries: Minister of State Serap Güler (Federal Foreign Office), Parliamentary State Secretary Stefan Rouenhoff (Economic Affairs and Energy), Parliamentary State Secretary Dr. Bärbel Kofler (Economic Cooperation and Development) and Parliamentary State Secretary Silvia Breher (Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity). We also expect Nathanael Liminski (Minister for Federal, European and International Affairs and Media of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and Head of the State Chancellery).
Tip 3: Conference App Goes Live
Alongside an extensive programme, GABS 2026 also offers opportunities to network with partners from business and politics. To facilitate matchmaking not only during the conference but also in advance, we will offer all participating guests the opportunity to connect via a conference app. As a registered participant, you have access to GABS Connect, the official networking app for the summit. The platform allows you to:
• Discover other participants and see who is attending.
• Send messages and arrange in-person meetings.
• Add scheduled meetings to your phone calendar.
A personal secure link will be sent to you later today, along with a step-by-step guide to assist you with app registration.
Program Highlight: Startup Village
GABS 2026 not only brings together African and German business representatives but also offers an opportunity to meet young entrepreneurs. In cooperation with GIZ and GTAI, we will set up a Startup Village in front of the entrance to the Kempinski Hotel, where around 20 young companies from Africa and Germany will showcase their work. A dedicated stage will host pitches and fireside chats presenting innovative business models to partners from the “established economy.” A visit to the Startup Village is a must for all conference guests.
The summit takes place on the 23-25 November, 2026 at Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra.
We look forward to welcoming you to GABS 2026. If you have any further questions, please contact our organizing team at info@gabs2026.com.
